Meet Emma Sonberg
The outdoors is my kitchen and my playground. I’ve spent years exploring trails and testing recipes that make backpacking and hiking meals both delicious and practical. My most memorable adventure was a 2,193.1-mile thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2021—a six-month journey that taught me how to turn simple ingredients into satisfying trail fuel.
Since then, I’ve continued to hike, camp, and experiment with lightweight meals and creative trail snacks. Through this site, I share my favorite recipes, food tips, and lessons learned from life on the trail.
